Accessibility
The tools are meant to be usable without a mouse, with a screen reader and with limited vision. That is implemented, but it has not been verified in full.
Updated: 7 November 2026
Implemented
- All controls are reachable with the keyboard and have a visible focus outline.
- The quality slider and the background choice are linked to visible labels and explained by help texts.
- Status messages about conversions and errors are announced through a live region.
- Text colours meet at least the WCAG AA contrast ratio on their surfaces.
- Buttons are at least 44 pixels high; there are no actions that appear only on mouse hover.
- With reduced motion enabled, transitions and animations are dropped.
- Hidden settings are not in the DOM and are therefore not reachable by keyboard.
Known limitations
- The quality slider is a native input; its appearance differs between browsers and operating systems.
- Preview images are described by their file name. The image content itself is not described automatically.
- Error messages for individual files can be long; they are also available as a status message.
- No review by an external body and no complete test with all assistive technologies has been carried out.
Feedback
If you notice a barrier, a short description including browser and assistive technology helps. The contact option is currently open; see the contact page.
